Elite Riders Grab Podium Spots at American Zofingen Long Course
May 16, 2010
Elite Bicycles riders Chris Martin and Rick Fesler finished 2nd and 3rd this weekend at the American Zofingen Long Course Duathlon in New Paltz, NY.
Ironman legend Mark Allen has called the Swiss version of Zofingen the hardest race he has ever done. While slightly shorter, the severity of the American course may actually make this race even tougher.
While not the longest race around, this 5 mile trail run - 84 mile bike - 15 mile trail run race sees over 11,000 feet of climbing throughout.
Chris Martin raced his way into 2nd place, just four minutes back from the top spot, with Rick Fesler finishing in 3rd, over 25 minutes ahead of 4th place.
Congratulations to Chris and Rick on an outstanding race!
