Elite Bicycles Sign Age Group World Champion for 2010 and Beyond
January 15, 2010
Elite Bicycles is proud to announce the signing of ITU AG Sprint World Champion Brian Duffy to its team of sponsored athletes for 2010. Brian bested over 2500 athletes from 50 countries to win his world championship, and he didnt stop there. Brian had a blazing 2009, winning 6 of the 7 races he entered, including Philly, NYC, Nations Tri, Best of US, and the Dallas Open.
Looking to 2010, Brian, a full time student at the prestigious Duke University, is hoping to keep up his winning ways. Opening his season at the Miami International on March 14th, Brian will then take his first shot at the collegiate national championships, competing in Lubbock, TX on April 17th. After what will undoubtedly be another successful season, Brians efforts will culminate in a showing at the 2010 ITU AG World Championships on September 12th in Budapest, Hungary. Hopefully Brian can follow in the footsteps of other Elite Bicycles ITU AG Olympic World Champions Margie Shapiro and Todd Wiley!
While Brian was certainly a talented and capable athlete before he came in, some big changes were made in his Elite fitting that we think will lead to an even more impressive season in 2010.
